Data Lens is seeking a hands-on BI reporting and visualization developer for a contract role.

Responsibilities:

Utilize business use cases and prototypes to develop analytical solutions using the Microsoft Business Intelligence platform
Assist with the construction of mockups and designs for prototypes
Develop the necessary queries and data structures to support reporting activities
Identify need for new data structures to support reporting requirements as appropriate
Design and implement reporting solutions within both cloud and on-premises environments

Required skills and experience include:

5+ years of experience with data warehousing
5+ years working with the Microsoft BI platform; experience with the Azure platforms required
PowerBI development and deployment required
Experience developing DAX expressions
ETL experience using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or Azure Data Factory
Experience using other visualization tools (e.g. Tableau) a plus
Strong background in deploying visually powerful reporting and analysis solutions (both tabular and visual)
Strong knowledge of Transact SQL, stored procedure development, and database deployment
Use of centralized source control tools like Git, TFS; Azure DevOps
