How do I get consulting customers?

I get this question a lot. People in my network want to know how I get my consulting clients. Like any services business, keeping your customer list full requires multiple sources of client engagement. For me, this includes networking events, social media, and referrals. Past clients have been my best source of both new and repeat business. This may always be the story for me, but there is one other approach that has taken off for me – B2B social selling on LinkedIn. I developed my owned LinkedIn marketing strategy early on, and it did not include paid ads or spammy messages. I simply built my room of prospective clients by reaching out and connecting. No strong sales push – just a LinkedIn connection invitation with a brief intro about myself. You can do this manually, but for me the best move was to use a LinkedIn automation tool called Dripify. It will automate all of the LinkedIn steps to send invitations, follow-up messages, and interactions with a personalized feel. I get hundreds of targeted LinkedIn connections each month, and Dripify does the work for me while I stay focused on my consulting work. I love the tool so much I share my partner link with colleagues who want to know how it works.
